Personal training is important to me because I am not disciplined enough to maintain a regular schedule by myself. Having Chris as a trainer is important to me because he's smart and funny, and he really knows his stuff. He keeps the 'routine' un-routine and never boring. He lets me complain about how mean he is, but still makes me follow through. Since regular exercise has not been a life-long habit, he has shown me how important it is - not only in the way it makes me look, but in the way it makes me feel. If it wasn't for Chris, I would have given up long ago, and tried to maintain a program myself - a decision I am sure I would have regretted. Plus, he's a friend - one I'm comfortable with in even the most awkward positions.

Sam has been coaching me for the last few months. He has a great balance between knowing when to push me versus when to encourage me. And of course he is well versed with the different exercises and the right form for each of them. Thanks Sam!

Since I have been involved in competitive sports my whole life, and have a kinetics degree, I never thought I would need to hire a trainer. However, I got bored with my workouts, and as a result was unmotivated to go to the gym. I tried classes, but they are not for me. I thought I would 'try' a trainer - never thought I would be going to him religiously 3 times a week for 2 years! Now I look forward to my workouts every day. Chris and his team are always happy to see me, and their energy makes me excited about the workout of the day. Every workout is different - in 2 years I have never done the same one twice! I love his group training method - I don't have to commit to specific 1 hour window to get my workout in - I know they are there when I get there, and will be with me until I am done. With Chris' guidance in the gym, and in my kitchen, I have lost over 70 lbs since my son was born.

I have been working out with Sam since early Oct 2011 to current. I can only say positive things about Sam... I have worked out with many trainers in the past and always plateaued at some point. I would tell them and nothing about the workout would change. Not the case here. I have yet to do the same workout twice. And there are some weeks where I am there 6 days a week. He is also very aware and pays attention to each individuals needs. In my case I have a shoulder that needs surgery and we have been able to strengthen my entire body while ensuring that I don't injure it more or hurt myself. It is amazing how far I have come and he is great at encouraging you when you think you can't do something. Serious when he needs to be and jokes at will... I will continue to train with Sam and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great trainer for a serious workout that will never bore.
